Job summary

The University of Findlay seeks an HVAC Technician on the Main Campus to assist the Director of Maintenance with the operation and upkeep of campus mechanical systems. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with subcontractors to keep heating, cooling, and related equipment reliable.

Responsibilities include assisting with food service operations, boilers/enclosed loop systems, and basic trades.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Relevant work experience in HVAC or facilities maintenance.
Preferred experience in energy markets.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Maintenance with HVAC system maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems (commercial and residential).
Coordinate with subcontractors to schedule repairs and verify progress.
Communicate status with Director of Facilities Scheduling and Events about unexpected circumstances in spaces.
Oversee repairs and maintenance related to food service operations/Sodexo.
Maintain boilers and enclosed loop systems; basic electrical, carpentry, flooring, doors tasks as needed.
Work with Facilities/Safety to address Fire Safety Systems and Elevators issues.
Participate in snow removal and other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular attendance and participate in on-call rotation with Facilities staff.
