Job summary

The College of New Jersey is seeking a Repairer to maintain and repair campus facilities under the Housing Repair section. Responsibilities include plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical work, and responding to work orders and emergencies, with standard hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, valid driver's license, vocational training or apprenticeship, and at least one year of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Successful completion of vocational training or apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance/repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water, drainage, plumbing fixtures and basic building systems.
• Paint interiors and exteriors; repair furniture and fixtures.
• Repair walls, ceilings, floors, masonry, and concrete surfaces as needed.
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and lighting.
• Record repairs, materials used, and time spent; follow work orders.
• Respond to emergency calls and overtime as required.
