University of Central Florida seeks a Housekeeper I, High Performance Work Team to maintain a clean, safe campus environment with custodial services and light maintenance tasks. Duties include routine cleaning, deep cleaning, waste removal, restroom sanitation, and occasional basic maintenance such as painting and bulb replacement.

The role requires flexibility for emergencies and varied schedules, with on-site work and potential weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

Completion of 9th grade.
1+ year of previous work experience in an operational environment.
Experience with basic maintenance tasks (painting, light bulb replacement, minor repairs).
Familiarity with work order related software.
Capacity to understand safety guidelines and use approved chemicals.
Customer service-oriented mindset with professional interaction.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain surfaces, dusting and scrubbing furniture, walls, and equipment.
Vacuum carpets, move furniture, and perform spot cleaning.
Sweep and mop floors, including stairs and entrances.
Remove waste and keep restrooms stocked and clean.
Identify and report maintenance or sanitation deficiencies.
Respond to emergencies or urgent situations as needed.
Stand for up to eight hours and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
