Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed on the campus of New England College in Henniker, NH is hiring for full-time and part-time Helper Cook positions. You will assist in preparation and cooking of a variety of items while maintaining food safety standards.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, with a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Schedule includes Sundays through Thursdays with PM shifts; more details provided at interview.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience is required.
• Full-time and part-time schedules.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Learns to read menu to estimate food requirements and procures it from storage.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with recipes and production records.
• Adjusts oven, broiler, grill, roaster and steam kettle temperatures as directed.
• Measures and mixes ingredients using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Cooks and plates food, adds gravies and garnishes as directed.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation in preparation areas.
