Job summary

Northeastern University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our student‑focused clinic in Boston. The position is full‑time (35 hours/week) with one weekday evening, supporting preventative care, triage, immunizations, education, and clinical tasks under supervision.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, inclusive care to undergraduate and graduate students, document findings, perform point‑of‑care testing, and help

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required (unrestricted).
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; relevant RN experience may be considered.
• Experience with EHRs, web-based systems, and MS Office.
• Ability to work inclusively with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides telephone and walk-in triage for students with urgent and routine concerns.
• Prepares students for clinical visits and documents vitals.
• Administers immunizations and medications per protocols.
• Assists clinicians with procedures (EKG, suture removal, etc.).
• Provides follow-up outreach and care coordination support.
• Offers student-centered health education and discharge instructions.
• Maintains infection control standards and safe clinical environments.
• Collaborates with team to promote safe, efficient student care.
• Participates in QA, staff development, and education materials.
