Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Resource Clinical Registered Nurse to provide triage, assessment and direct patient care within University Health Services. This onsite, full-time role requires collaboration with physicians and other care providers during clinic hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program with 3 years of clinical experience.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• CPR certification at hire and bi-annually renewed.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Communicate and document patient responses and changes in condition.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and safety practices (emergency procedures, equipment, supplies).
• Educate patients on prevention, healthy lifestyle, and use of medical services.
• Collaborate with providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
