Job summary

Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and care for campus grounds, athletic fields and exterior areas. The role includes lawn maintenance, seasonal snow removal, and operation of grounds equipment to keep sidewalks, parking areas, and landscapes safe and attractive.

The position supports a safe, functional campus environment and requires basic horticultural knowledge, equipment operation skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Basic horticultural techniques and practices including planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, seeding, sodding and general lawn and garden care.
• Methods of lawn, landscape, and athletic field maintenance.
• Operation and routine maintenance of motorized groundskeeping equipment and hand tools.
• Basic construction and repair methods for simple structures and grounds features.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, prepare and care for college grounds, athletic fields, lawns, landscaped areas and exterior spaces.
• Perform snow and ice removal and operate grounds equipment safely.
• Ensure grounds and facilities are safe, clean, functional and attractive for students, staff and visitors.
