Job summary

The Facilities Department at Wofford College invites applications for a full-time groundskeeper. The position reports to the grounds supervisor and is a key member of the groundskeeping crew responsible for all aspects of campus landscaping and maintenance.

Primary duties include groundskeeping and landscaping (mulching, mowing, pruning, planting) and maintenance support (equipment upkeep, training, compliance with safety standards).

Qualifications

• One year of landscaping, grounds or maintenance-related work experience is required.
• Current and valid driver’s license to operate Wofford vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Reliability and timely reporting, adherence to work schedule/shift.
• Physical demands: outdoor work in varying temperatures; climbing ladders and bending.

Responsibilities

• Groundskeeping and landscaping across campus, including mulching, weeding, pruning, mowing and edging.
• Maintenance support: equipment upkeep, attending trainings, and following safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned, including committee or service work.
