Job summary

The University of Arizona is hiring a Groundskeeper I to join the Grounds Services team. Responsibilities include routine landscape maintenance, planting, pruning, and supporting campus events with cleanup and setup. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.

This is a full-time position within the Facilities Mgmt & Services group. Two vacancies exist with a target hire date in late November 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive per policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor spaces by removing weeds, litter and debris from landscapes and hard surfaces.
• Perform mowing, pruning, trimming, weeding, watering and planting according to species.
• Install or renovate landscapes as directed.
• plant trees, shrubs, ground covers and flowers.
• Place mulch, soil, rocks and boulders as needed.
• Support campus events with setup, trash/recycling containers and post-event cleanup.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, safe and prepared for guests.
