Job summary

Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Groundskeeper- Garden Crew to maintain campus gardens from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on a full-time schedule. This role supports the Grounds Department in keeping landscapes healthy and attractive across the university campus.

Responsibilities include planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, edging, mulching, watering, and greenhouse care; operating weed eaters and other tools; transplanting plants and assisting with minor landscape renovations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 9th Grade Education or Higher.
• Valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, edging, and mulching to maintain beds and campus areas.
• Watering, fertilizing, and greenhouse care for nursery plants and herbs.
• Operates grounds equipment and tools, including weed eaters and hand tools.
• Transplants plants and assists with minor landscape renovations and soil work.
• Debris removal, leaf cleanup, and routine maintenance to keep grounds presentable.
