Job summary

El Rancho Unified School District is seeking a Grounds Worker to perform general grounds maintenance. Work Mon–Fri, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., 8 hours daily, 12-month year, full-time status.

Salary ranges from $4,011 to $6,056 monthly, with longevity steps applying after meeting requirements. Responsibilities include pruning, mowing, edging, fertilizing, sprinkler operation, and assisting with equipment repairs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic grounds maintenance methods and tools.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift over 100 pounds.
• Follow oral and written instructions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, edges, trims and prunes landscaped areas and maintains soil and plants.
• Sprays insecticides and herbicides; waters grounds with sprinklers.
• Operates a power sweeper and loads trimmings; assists in equipment repairs.
• May perform custodial tasks seasonally and help with fences and cement work.
