Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College seeks a Groundskeeper/Landscaper to maintain campus grounds, assist with events, and operate grounds equipment. The role is full-time and in-person at Arnold/Main Campus.

You will mow, trim, plant, prune, and manage snow removal, while ensuring safety and efficiency across all grounds operations. Valid driver's license required; expect 40 hours/week with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of experience or demonstrated basic knowledge in operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. during an 8 hour shift.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus grounds and parking lots, collecting trash and keeping areas neat and orderly.
• Mow, trim, edge lawns and remove clippings from streets and sidewalks.
• Establish and maintain flowerbeds, shrubs and trees; soil prep, planting, fertilizing, mulching, watering, pruning and weeding.
• Operate and maintain snow removal equipment and keep roads, walkways, and steps clear.
• Assist in setup/breakdown of room arrangements for college events and move furniture/equipment as needed.
• Transport hazardous waste per policy and assist with disposal when required.
