Job summary

The University of Scranton is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain campus landscaping and perform related grounds duties. The role requires operating a range of grounds equipment and supporting events across university properties in Scranton, PA.

Evening shift availability is required with occasional emergency snow removal and other duties to support the University’s mission and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PA driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• Willingness to participate in training to enhance or learn new skills.
• Commitment to safety and to the University’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintains university landscaping and grounds, and assists with snow removal as needed.
• Operates grounds equipment including mowers, tractors, and related tools.
• Rakes leaves, lawns, plants flowers and mulch beds; maintains athletic fields.
• Supports campus events and assists other departments as directed.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness across campus properties and assists with miscellaneous tasks.
