Utah State University—USU Eastern in Price is seeking a dependable Part-Time Grounds Worker to help maintain campus grounds and keep the outdoor spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. The role is non-benefited and hourly, with part-time hours during the academic year and potential summer availability.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, and seasonal cleanup, plus assisting with other campus tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Previous groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns and maintain turf areas.
• Trim grass, shrubs, and landscaped areas.
• Edge sidewalks, curbs, and landscaped borders.
• Pull weeds and assist with general landscape maintenance.
• Empty and maintain outdoor trash and recycling receptacles.
• Assist with seasonal cleanup, including leaf removal and debris cleanup.
• Operate basic groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist other campus departments with tasks or projects as needed.
• Help with Motor pool & Mail when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and campus policies at all times.
• Up to 40 hours per week during the summer, based on departmental needs.
