Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design is seeking a Grounds Maintenance professional to care for the Main Campus grounds, including pruning, planting, and basic irrigation repairs. The role involves physical outdoor work, safety awareness, and occasional weekend/holiday duties as needed.

Responsibilities include upkeep of flowerbeds, shrubs, trees, and installation work while adhering to best management practices in landscape maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license required.
• Experience in landscape care and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trims, prunes, and installs trees, shrubs, vines and plants.
• Performs weed control and pest management practices.
• Maintains and repairs sprinklers and landscape lighting.
• Removes debris from flowerbeds and mulched areas.
• Plants flowers, shrubs, trees, seeds, bulbs, etc., where appropriate.
• Operates and maintains outdoor equipment with safety.
• Additional duties as assigned.
