NC State University in Raleigh, NC is seeking a UTS - Temporary Landscape Maintenance Technician to perform grounds care across campus. You will operate mowing and trimming equipment, prepare planting beds, and assist turf establishment under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift heavy objects, and a valid NC driver's license. Some positions may require a pesticide license or CDL; safety is emphasized and teamwork is KEY on a busy campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• North Carolina pesticide license may be required and can be obtained within six months of employment.
• North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required; NC license within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally.
• Experience with landscaping and grounds maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Operate mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and other grounds equipment daily.
• Prepare planting beds and install plant materials including shrubs, trees, sod, and bulbs.
• Assist in turf establishment and sod installation and related activities.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools and machinery; report repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work sites and campus surroundings; remove debris and waste.
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with crew and communicate professionally with supervisors and campus community.
