Job summary

Central Texas College is seeking a groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds and surrounding areas. You will operate lawn equipment, follow fertilizer instructions, and support multiple facilities tasks on a university campus in Texas. Must be able to lift 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities include snow/ice removal, trash management, lawn reconstruction, and assisting Facilities Management as needed. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience landscaping and grounds keeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus grounds and streets.
• Operate power mowers, weed eaters, or equivalent tools.
• Read and follow directions for fertilizers and chemicals.
• Receive and measure campus fuel tanks.
• Remove snow/ice and trash; clean areas.
• Assist Facilities Management as needed.
• Reconstruct lawns with top soil, grading and seeding.
• Paint/maintain dumpsters and curbs; plant and prune flora.
• Ensure safety per OSHA policies.
• Lift up to 100 lbs in outdoor work.
