Job summary

Belen Consolidated School District is seeking a General Maintenance/School Grounds worker for the district's facilities in Belen, NM. The position is full-time with an ASAP starting date and 8 hours per day, 235 days per year.

Responsibilities include maintenance tasks across interior and exterior structures, grounds, irrigation systems, and equipment, with a focus on keeping district sites well-maintained and compliant. Strong reading, inventory, and communication skills are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid and current New Mexico Operator's license.
• Knowledge of operating maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance
• Knowledge of maintaining irrigation systems
• Knowledge of maintaining and repairing interior and exterior building structures
• Ability to read and interpret instructions in order to perform maintenance services and maintain maintenance records.
• Knowledge of organizational pattern of the district sites and/or schools.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of maintenance procedures in the inventory of supplies and materials, handling of all types of materials and equipment and use of materials and equipment in all types of maintenance.
• Physical abilities to perform the physical tasks required of this position.
• Able to use technology to perform maintenance responsibilities.
• Uses effective people skills to communicate.
