Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington's Facility Operations team seeks a capable groundskeeper to maintain turf, beds, signage and pathways on campus. This role emphasizes safety, reliability and efficient use of tools and equipment in all weather conditions.

You will perform routine maintenance duties, operate mowing and trimming equipment, and assist with snow and ice removal as needed. The position is full-time, on-site, with IU's comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of landscape/grounds experience or 1 year of light maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by IU upon hire.
• Ability to work safely and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrates time management, priority setting, and quality commitment.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, mulch, and maintain turf areas and plant beds.
• Perform minor repairs, painting, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and weather-related campus needs.
• Maintain parking lots, signage, lighting, and general grounds equipment.
