Job summary

Auburn University through Temporary Employment Services (TES) is seeking entry-level landscape workers to help maintain campus grounds. Work involves using hand tools and a variety of power tools to mow, edge, trim, mulch, water plants, and install sod across university properties.

You will perform debris removal, operate mowers and utility vehicles, and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained. Training and credentialing may be required as per department guidelines.

• Basic landscape-related skills.
• Ability to safely utilize and operate landscape tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn and advance in the field.

Responsibilities

• Maintains University grounds using hand tools (shovel, pick, rake) and power tools (weed eater, edger, hedge trimmer, tiller, blower).
• Operates push and riding mower and utility task vehicles to perform mowing and related tasks.
• Performs weed pulling, plant watering, mulch installation, and sod installation on campus grounds.
• Removes debris and cleans hardscapes with equipment (pressure washer); maintains and cleans tools and equipment.
• Follows training and credentialing requirements as outlined by the department.
