Job summary

Midwestern University US in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform routine interior and exterior maintenance of buildings and grounds. The role includes mowing, edging, planting, irrigation adjustments, and minor repairs, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The position reports to the Lead Groundskeeper and requires in-person attendance. The successful candidate will operate a range of equipment, handle event setup, and assist other maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain a current U.S. driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of landscape maintenance experience; irrigation knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Trimming, edging, and mowing lawn areas.
• Pruning, planting, and staking trees and plants.
• Installing granite around plants and installing irrigation components.
• Operating a variety of landscape equipment and power tools.
• Exterior housekeeping, event setup, and signage maintenance.
• Adhering to university safety policies and performing other duties as assigned.
