Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds, mow turf, remove leaves, plant seasonal color, and perform related tasks. The role reports to the Grounds Manager and follows a 5:30 AM–2:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, as a full-time benefited position.

Minimum qualifications include no experience required; preferred are an Associate Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, plus 1–2 years in landscape maintenance, irrigation, and equipment

Qualifications

• Any combination of training and experience enabling required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate campus landscaping equipment to maintain and beautify assigned areas.
• Proficiently operate heavy equipment including skid steers and mowers.
• Safely apply insecticides and herbicides per label instructions.
• Maintain time records and perform related support functions.
• Maintain shop and tools; perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Design and install new plantings and irrigation systems.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned at Gwinnett Technical College.
