Job summary

Turner Unified School District 202 is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain district grounds, playground equipment, and athletic fields. Responsibilities include planting, pruning, mowing, fertilizing, and ensuring safe, attractive campus facilities.

A valid driver's license and 2–3 years of Grounds Management experience are required. This position reports to the Head Grounds Keeper and requires adherence to district safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License to operate TUSD 202 vehicles or use personal vehicle.
• Two to three years of experience and training in Grounds Management, or related field.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office (after employment offer).
• Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, alter, repair and maintain district grounds and grounds equipment.
• Plant, fertilize, prune, mow and perform general maintenance of grounds and athletic fields.
• Follow district guidelines and communicate effectively with staff and community.
• Perform safety inspections and keep equipment in good working order.
• Assist in scheduling and prioritizing summer projects and maintenance tasks.
