Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Grounds Technician to support our campus in Miami. The role involves routine grounds maintenance, cleaning, minor electrical/mechanical tasks, and assisting in structural upkeep across facilities.

Responsibilities include trash removal, lawn care, pavement repairs, and safety inspections of grounds and equipment. Valid Florida driver's license required; HS diploma preferred. On-site, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to three years general maintenance mechanic experience including basic electrical and mechanical work is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Florida Driver License with no more than 4 points.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empties all trash cans as scheduled.
• Maintains grounds clean as scheduled.
• Powers, washes and removes gum from entrances as scheduled.
• Blows parking structure and parking lots as scheduled.
• Sweeps and cleans as needed.
• Digs trenches on holes for piping, sprinkler heads, plants, etc.
• Mixes and pours concrete as required.
• Inspects, identifies, and reports equipment and signs that need repair.
• Competes in routine inspection and safety checks related to grounds and equipment.
