Job summary

Cincinnati State is seeking a Facilities Technician 2 to maintain Clifton campus exterior areas, including landscape, irrigation, and seasonal displays. You may supervise Co-Op/Work Study Volunteers and handle emergencies as needed.

Role requires an associate degree in horticulture or 7+ years of landscape experience, plus a pesticide license or within 120 days. Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Horticulture or relevant discipline OR 7+ years landscape/grounds experience.
• Ohio Commercial Pesticide license required or within 120 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery and small engine equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine exterior property maintenance: hardscapes, lighting, irrigation, turf, and snow removal.
• Assist with landscape bed installation and seasonal floral displays.
• Handle work orders and assist with events, setups, and emergencies.
• Respond to building security and integrity emergencies; on-call as required.
