Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring immediately for a FOOD UNIT LEAD position at our Charlotte campus. The role coordinates activities of other food-service employees to create an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.

The schedule offers both full- and part-time options with shifts described, and previous supervisor experience is highly preferred. Perks include uniform provided, shift meal, and transit availability.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by giving one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverages to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email for electronic complaints.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Uses proper systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll, timekeeping).
• Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders food and other supplies from approved sources.
• Directs sanitation and safety of the facility and employees per standards and regulations.
• Develops sanitation schedule and ensures adherence to cleaning of kitchen and dining area and equipment.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Helps select and orient employees; oversees staff training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
