Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions. The role involves preparing, presenting and serving food with days and hours that may vary and open availability.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking and food service experience is required.
• Open availability for full-time and part-time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food.
• Performs prep work like washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits/vegetables.
• Weighs and measures ingredients.
• Carries pans and trays to/from stations while following safety standards.
• Stores food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Keeps serving temperatures and portion control as per recipes.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns with supervisor guidance.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
