Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring food service workers for immediate full-time and part-time positions at our Wilkes-Barre area location. Prior experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is available.

Expect a fixed pay rate of $13.00 per hour with days and hours varying, and 5 days per week. Responsibilities include food prep, portion control, serving customers, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with daily operations as outlined by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Willing to learn and train on-site.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations.
• Stores food following wrapping, dating and food safety procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
