Job summary

Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville, Utah, is looking for a friendly Food Service Associate to support the Redwood food & beverage outlets and other auxiliary service areas. You will handle daily operations, take orders, and ensure accuracy on the POS while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining health and safety standards, stocking and rotating supplies, and collaborating with the Auxiliaries team to deliver an engaging guest experience.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience is required.
• Current Utah Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Two years of food service experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preparing and cooking food.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of SLCC Redwood food & beverage outlets.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and maintain a clean, sanitized workspace.
• Take customer orders, input into the POS, and process payments.
• Assist with opening/closing tasks and weekly deep cleaning.
• Manage inventory and supplies, and minimize waste.
