Job summary

Stanford University’s Residential & Dining Enterprises is hiring for a front line food service role. Work involves cashier duties, serving customers, keeping areas clean, stocking supplies, and food preparation tasks in a dining operation on campus. Requires ability to follow safety guidelines and communicate in English.

Onsite work with varied shifts is required. The position is designated for the Academic Year and is governed by the SEIU Local 2007 collective bargaining agreement.

• Ability to understand and communicate in English with adequate proficiency

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register and point of sale systems with proficiency and accuracy per policy.
• Serves customers, answers inquiries and resolves basic issues per standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas and cleans floors.
• Checks stock, assists with receiving and restocking supplies.
• Assigns and serves cold food items per standards.
• Washes dishes and pots and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Follows food safety handling policies.
• May perform drop-off or delivery services.
