Job summary

The University Student Union in Long Beach is seeking a Facility Services Assistant to support custodial tasks and assist with event setup across campus locations.

Responsibilities include using EMS software for scheduling, moving furniture, and maintaining inventory. Must be a CSU Long Beach student, available for 20 hours per week with evenings/weekends possible, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at California State University, Long Beach in at least six units.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions effectively and on time.
• Demonstrates professionalism and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide custodial support and maintain cleanliness of facilities.
• Assist with event setup/breakdown and move furniture/equipment.
• Generate setup worksheets and schedules using EMS software.
• Report issues to maintenance and ensure safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory areas and accurate shift reports.
• Adhere to safety procedures and MSDS requirements.
