Hillsborough Community College is seeking a Trades worker to maintain campus facilities, performing painting, plumbing repairs, door and ceiling tile replacement, drywall patching, ceramic tile replacement, and baseboard repair. The role supports learning environments by keeping spaces well-kept and functional.

Candidate must have at least two years of related experience or a technical school certification, with open until filled.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational or technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond high school.
• At least two years of related work experience; substitution of one additional year of experience allowed.

Responsabilités

• Conduct minor interior and exterior painting tasks.
• Perform plumbing repairs and replace fixtures as needed.
• Install interior and exterior doors and door frames.
• Replace ceiling tiles and ensure proper installation.
• Patch and hang drywall, maintaining structural integrity.
• Order and replace broken or missing ceramic tiles.
• Repair holes in walls with precision and care.
• Replace baseboards and finish to a polished look.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.
• Demonstrate strong communication for problem-solving.
• Pay meticulous attention to detail in all maintenance tasks.
