Job summary

Stark State College is seeking a full-time custodian for the midnight shift to keep buildings, offices and classrooms clean and orderly so students can study in well-maintained facilities.

Typical hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., at the Main Campus in North Canton. Pay ranges from $15.23 to $19.80 per hour, plus a $0.60 shift differential, with outstanding benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and a satisfactory MVR record.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred: OSHA 10 Certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building cleanliness including floors, windows, walls, fixtures and restrooms.
• Submit work orders for repairs and report equipment problems.
• Prepare rooms for events by arranging/moving furniture as requested.
• Perform floor care and recycling at main campus and satellite locations.
• Fill in for staff absences and may require extended hours or on-call duties.
