Job summary

The Northwest School in Seattle, WA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to help maintain a one-acre campus and six buildings. You will perform daily outdoor inspections, basic repairs, and event support, reporting to the Director of Facilities and Transportation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license, with an hourly wage of $27–$32 for 40 hours per week. The school offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive community.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of outdoor campus perimeter areas and disposal of trash.
• Monitor for graffiti and vandalism; address quickly.
• Remove leaves, snow, or ice; respond to spills or cleaning crises.
• Review daily work orders (SchoolDude) and complete items by priority and time management.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, bulbs).
• Move heavy equipment and furniture as needed; build simple items like bookshelves.
• Disarm security system and unlock doors as buildings open.
• Coordinate and set up for special events.
