Job summary

Aiken Technical College is seeking a Director of Facilities and Operations to lead planning, maintenance, and operation of college facilities, grounds, and related services. The role oversees staff, contracted services, and capital projects to ensure a safe, accessible campus environment.

The position requires high school diploma and supervisory experience; a Bachelor's degree with related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred, with relevant supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning, maintenance, repair, and operation of the College’s physical facilities, grounds, infrastructure, and related services.
• Provide leadership for facilities staff and contracted services; monitor performance and compliance.
• Direct preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance; ensure safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Develop and monitor operating budgets; manage procurement and vendor contracts.
• Represent facilities on permanent improvement projects; coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Lead Emergency Response Program and coordinate safety training and drills.
• Support a safe, accessible, and environmentally responsible campus environment.
