Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across campus facilities. Responsibilities include electrical and plumbing work, painting, carpentry, and preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, valid GA driver’s license, and a willingness to respond to emergencies. This is a full-time on-site position at GGC with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in basic building maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Experience with reading blueprints and schematics is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA) and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic installation, repair and replacement of electrical and plumbing components.
• Conduct general maintenance and preventive tasks on buildings and equipment.
• Transport tools and materials to job sites and coordinate with contractors.
• Respond to emergency calls and assist in building repairs as needed.
