Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) seeks a Supervisory Facilities professional to oversee roads, grounds, custodial, and maintenance operations across campus. You will supervise staff, coordinate with campus teams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while upholding college standards.

The role involves planning and scheduling maintenance, managing the department budget, monitoring inventory, and delivering reliable service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related field.
• CFM certification or related certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, custodial, and/or groundskeeping practices and procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of building systems, landscaping, and/or custodial practices.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and insurability under TSTC Liability Policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise custodial, maintenance, and grounds staff; lead regular team meetings.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance for roads, grounds, and buildings.
• Monitor and manage department budget and inventory; ensure efficient resource use.
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a safety culture.
• Respond to maintenance requests and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
