Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in a related field and four years of related experience, including two years managerial.
• New York State architect registration with three years related experience, including one year managerial.
• New York State professional engineer license with three years related experience, including one year managerial.
• New York City High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineers license with six years related experience, including four years managerial.
• Four year high school diploma or GED with eight years related experience, including four years managerial.
• Advanced degree in managerial field may substitute for an additional year of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning, operation, maintenance, and improvements of campus facilities and grounds.
• Review repair requests and establish preventive maintenance plans.
• Implement sustainability and energy-saving measures.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors; monitor bid specifications and payments.
• Direct staff performance and safety training; assign duties and evaluate work.
• Plan rehabilitation and alterations to buildings, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds.
• Manage vehicle fleet operation and upkeep.
• Prepare annual budgets for buildings and grounds operations.
• Ensure proper waste sorting and toxic waste handling per EHS guidelines.
