Job summary

Oak Hall School is seeking an Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds to assist in maintaining and repairing all school facilities. This role supports safety, longevity, and aesthetics of campus operations under the Director of Buildings and Grounds.

The position requires experience in facilities maintenance, ability to perform light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, and strong communication with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or a related role.
• Plumbing, HVAC, or electrical experience and/or certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair and upkeep of all school buildings and grounds.
• Supervise and perform light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Perform surface preparation and painting on building structures and signage.
• Perform lawn care including mowing, edging, weed removal, and hedge trimming.
• Set up tables, chairs, and move furniture for events, including off-site events.
• Provide school-wide customer service with a positive attitude.
• Read and interpret daily schedules, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
