Job summary

Hellenic College Holy Cross is seeking a versatile Facilities and Grounds Technician to join the campus operations team. This full-time, non-exempt role combines custodial services, grounds maintenance, and building facilities work into a single generalist position.

The ideal candidate will work across all three areas, demonstrate ownership of the campus environment, and be comfortable handling a variety of tasks. This is not an entry-level position and compensation reflects the broad scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of combined custodial, grounds maintenance, or facilities/building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical systems for minor repairs.
• Must be able to read and interpret work orders and maintenance instructions.
• Valid driver's license and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of academic buildings, offices, residence halls, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and disinfect facilities.
• Perform basic window cleaning and waste disposal.
• Assist with room setups and event support.
• Maintain grounds, landscapes, and seasonal upkeep.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Repair doors, locks, windows, flooring, and fixtures as needed.
• Support safety compliance and maintain records.
