Job summary

Beloit College is seeking a Campus Facilities Support team member to help maintain campus buildings and support event setup. The role requires indoor/outdoor work, manual tasks, and following safety rules to protect people and property.

Responsibilities include processing work orders, moving furniture, assisting with cleanup and maintenance, and training student staff while adhering to OSHA guidelines and campus procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of custodial, event setup, moving, warehouse, or related facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work in extremes of temperatures, gases, steam, chemicals and harsh detergents.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and communicate about work orders for maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Set up event materials, podiums, tables, chairs, and related items per procedures.
• Move and transport campus furniture and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with trash, recycling, and general cleaning across campus.
• Operate equipment and vehicles safely for transportation of items.
• Assist with snow removal and salting as needed for safety.
• Train and coordinate student workers in facilities tasks.
• Maintain security of keys and access as required.
