Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Facilities Custodian to perform cleaning across University facilities, including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and fixtures. You will handle trash removal, window cleaning, and occasional furniture movement to keep spaces in top condition.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate cleaning equipment, and follow safety guidelines. A California Driver's License and DMV Pull Notice participation are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to vacuum, mop, dust, wash walls and windows.
• Ability to clean sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning supplies and safety.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License and DMV Pull Notice program participation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning UC Irvine facilities, including daily floor care, dusting, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, furniture and fixture cleaning, trash removal, and window cleaning.
• Perform weekend work during open/close periods and peak times; may assist after-hours emergency response.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures to maintain high cleanliness standards.
