Job summary

College of Southern Idaho is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain interior cleanliness of campus facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, dusting, mopping, waxing floors, and moving furniture.

The role emphasizes reliability, effective communication, and safe operation of cleaning equipment. The position offers 40 hours weekly with shifts that may include mornings or evenings and indoor work in climate-controlled spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written English.
• Previous custodian/janitor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and polish bath, lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures (cleaning duties).
• Dust, wash, and sponge mop.
• Dust shades and covers on light fixtures; replace light bulbs.
• Move furniture and assist with maintenance requests/work orders.
• Maintain cleaning logs and records.
