Job summary

Thompson Hospitality is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our campus dining program at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, MS. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, craft innovative menus, manage a culinary team, control costs, and ensure food safety and quality for students and staff.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on cooking expertise, and a track record of delivering high-quality meals in a higher-education setting.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Proven leadership experience at executive culinary level.
• Strong knowledge of menu development and food safety standards.
• Experience with higher education food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan diverse, nutritionally balanced menus with cost efficiency.
• Provide culinary direction and maintain high quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Recruit, train, and lead kitchen staff, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Develop and manage culinary budgets, control food and labor costs, and minimize waste.
• Oversee food safety compliance and sanitation guidelines.
