Job summary

Claremont McKenna College seeks an Events Coordinator to manage a wide range of college events, including donor relations and presidential and trustee events. The role partners with departments to develop and standardize events and requires occasional evening/weekend work.

The candidate will use Raiser’s Edge and other tools to design pages, send invitations and report results, while maintaining meticulous records and exercising diplomacy and discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years at an academic institution preferred; events or hospitality background helpful.
• Valid driver’s license or equivalent transportation required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser’s Edge, Canva and Almabase beneficial.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange all event details including venue, invitations, meals, logistics and contracts.
• Lead coordination with College departments on new and existing events.
• Maintain records on attendance and costs; report results annually.
• Use software to design pages, advertise events and manage responses.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and confidentiality with trustees, donors and staff.
