Job summary

Claremont McKenna College is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement, Student, Young Alumni, and Digital Engagement to lead student-to-alumni engagement across four years and beyond. You will oversee the college’s digital platforms and volunteer programs, driving meaningful connections that support our mission.

The role reports to the Executive Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement and requires strong project management, communications, and relationship-building with diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Three to five years of experience in a selective, private higher education external relations environment is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required to drive College-owned vehicles.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and analytical skills; strong verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive student-to-young-alumni engagement strategy spanning four years of undergraduate study and beyond.
• Collaborate with Alumni Association leadership, Parent Network Leadership, Annual Giving, and campus partners to create engaging programs and successful engagement journeys.
• Oversee Engage.CMC and digital platforms, including social media, with a multi‑channel marketing plan to drive adoption and retention.
• Manage volunteer committees and staff liaison roles to ensure effective programming and events for students and alumni.
