Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional for University of Wisconsin events in Madison. This part-time role combines event staff duties with security responsibilities to ensure a safe, welcoming experience for attendees.

You will assist with setup, monitor access, help attendees, and coordinate with teams. A background in security or related fields is helpful, with a requirement to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary by local regulations).
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness; ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team player; able to collaborate with diverse groups.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as schedules require.
• Possess a valid security license or be willing to obtain one if required.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.
