Job summary

• Mastery in multiple technical theater production areas (lighting, sound, video, etc.)
• Strong ability to operate professional AV and stage systems
• Proven budget creation and management experience in events
• Experience using CAD/diagramming software for lighting and layouts
• Ability to hire, train, and supervise student staff

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of student staff to support campus events at University Centers venues.
• Coordinate sound, lighting, video, and power distribution to ensure timely, high-quality service.
• Serve as primary production contact for the Stage Room and Loft and oversee other UCSD venues.
• Ensure safety protocols and training within the Technical Services Department.
• Manage budgeting, inventory, and equipment maintenance for ~1M in gear.
• Provide direction for staffing schedules, training, and event coordination.
