Job summary

Iowa State University is seeking an Equipment Operator to maintain campus grounds year-round. You will operate heavy machinery, perform snow removal, mowing, and landscaping tasks, and assist with road and utility projects on campus.

Qualifications

• Two years of equipment operating experience.
• Valid Chauffeur’s or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for grounds maintenance, including tractors, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks.
• Perform snow and ice removal during winter to ensure campus access.
• Conduct landscaping tasks: mowing, trimming, planting, mulching.
• Assist in construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Clear debris, fallen trees, and obstructions from campus grounds.
• Install and repair underground utilities such as water lines and drainage.
