Job summary

UAB Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Services Group Lead (2) to manage daily cleaning operations across campus buildings. You will assign tasks, balance workload, supervise staff, and ensure equipment and supplies are available while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and proficiency with standard office apps. Onsite day shift with a flexible schedule; candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and meet MVR

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in a commercial, institutional or educational setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• MVR driving requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Leads employees in assigned work area and assigns tasks.
• Performs routine and major cleaning duties including floor care.
• Completes tasks independently and participates in ongoing training.
• Uses computer programs to document work tasks, time and attendance.
• Monitors inventory and distributes supplies; reports maintenance needs.
• Responds to service requests and communicates with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
